Carbondale, IL – May 1, 2020 – SIU Credit Union is proud to announce the awarding of five scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education degrees. The scholarship presentations couldn’t be made in person this year due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship for the 2020-21 school year. The 2020 scholarship winners, along with their institutions and fields of study, are noted below.
Yasmina Amley
Yasmina Amley will graduate from Murphysboro High School in 2020. She plans to attend SIU Carbondale and study Biomedical Sciences/Pre-medicine.
Megan Atlee
Megan Atlee graduates from Johnston City High School in 2020 and plans to attend Lindenwood University where she will pursue her Business degree.
Jacob Lemon
Jacob Lemon is a 2020 graduate of Pope County High School. He plans to attend Southeastern Illinois College and study Political Science.
Luke Lynn
Luke Lynn of Marion will graduate from Marion High School in 2020 and plans to attend John A. Logan College to study Cybersecurity/Computer Forensics.
Jacob Penrod
Jacob Penrod is a 2020 graduate of Harrisburg High School. He plans to attend Southeastern Illinois College to study Pre-Medicine.
