SIU Credit Union holds an annual meeting generally the third Tuesday of March. Our next annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. All members are encouraged and welcome to attend SIU Credit Union’s Annual Meeting, but all will be asked to follow COVID protocols and adhere to social distancing.

Meet SIU Credit Union’s Board of Directors, Executive Management, and employees. President & CEO, Mike Lantrip, provides a credit union update including a recap of last year and plans for the future. A new Annual Report will be available at the meeting.

Election for Board of Directors
Elections for open seats on the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors are held at the Annual Meeting. The following nominees met all qualifications to be elected to the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors:
- Barbara Humphrey retired from SIU in 2002 as an Administrative Aide in the College of Business (1968-2002). She has been on the SIU Credit Union Board since 1989, and has served on the Credit, Finance, Membership and Personnel Committees. Humphrey currently Chairs the Credit Committee.
- Deb Nelson began serving SIU Credit Union as a member of the Credit Committee in 2017. She joined the Board in April of 2018 after Board Member, Gary Drake, passed away. She is currently a member of the Supervisory Committee. Deb, a double graduate of Southern Illinois University, is now also employed there. She resides in Carterville, IL.
- Mark Peterson first served on the Credit Committee in 2007 and later that year joined the Board of Directors. He left the Board in 2010 and rejoined in 2017. In addition to service on the Credit Committee, he has served on the Supervisory Committee, the Finance Committee, and the ALCO Committee. He is currently Chairman of the Board. Mark joined the faculty in the SIU College of Business and Analytics in 1997, where he is currently the Gordon and Sharon Teel Professor of Finance. He resides in Carterville.
Nominations for the vacancies may also be made by a petition signed by one percent (1%) of members with a minimum of twenty (20) and a maximum of five hundred (500) signatures. If there is more than one nominee per open position, an election by ballot will be held. However, the election will not be conducted by ballot when there is only one nominee for each vacancy. All nominations by petition must be sent to the attention of the Credit Union Secretary and received no later than Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
