    SIU Credit Union holds an annual meeting generally the third Tuesday of March. Our next annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. All members are encouraged and welcome to attend SIU Credit Union’s Annual Meeting.

    Meet our leadership team

    Meet SIU Credit Union’s Board of Directors, Executive Management, and employees. President & CEO, Mike Lantrip, provides a credit union update including a recap of last year and plans for the future. A new Annual Report will be available at the meeting.

    Our next annual meeting will be held at the Carbondale branch located at 395 N. Giant City Road at 5:15 p.m. We hope to see you there!

    Election for Board of Directors

    Elections for open seats on the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors are held at the Annual Meeting. The following nominees met all qualifications to be elected to the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors:

    • William Capie has been involved with the credit union for over 30 years and currently serves as its Vice Chairman. He has served on various committees and was elected to the board in 1989. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. and M.A. and retired from SIUC in 2003. He remains active and continues to volunteer with a number of community groups. He firmly believes that the credit union offers a level of service not available at other financial institutions and is proud of the Credit Union’s financial offerings and stability.
    • Chris Sievers has been a member of SIU Credit Union for 16 years and spent nine years working as its Director of Marketing. In 2017, he was appointed to the Supervisory Committee, and has served on the Credit Committee, Finance Committee, and Asset Liability Committee. He leads the recruitment efforts for SIUCU volunteer committee members. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and is the vice president and administrator of SI Elder Law, LLC. He lives in Marion with his wife, Tiffanny, and three kids, Daily, Savannah and Maria.
    • Susan Dallas-Willis, presiding Board Chair, has been a volunteer at the credit union over 20 years and served on the Board of Directors since 2006. A midwest native, she retired from SIU in 2012 where she is also an alumna. She currently owns and operates Susan Willis Photography which specializes in high school senior, family, and headshot portraiture. “Volunteerism is the key to community success. Throughout my life, I have seen the difference that volunteering makes in people’s lives,” Susan Willis.

    Nominations for the vacancies may also be made by a petition signed by one percent (1%) of members with a minimum of twenty (20) and a maximum of five hundred (500) signatures. If there is more than one nominee per open position, an election by ballot will be held. However, the election will not be conducted by ballot when there is only one nominee for each vacancy. All nominations by petition must be sent to the attention of the Credit Union Secretary and received no later than Monday, February 3, 2020.
