Carbondale, IL – April 30, 2019 – SIU Credit Union is proud to announce the awarding of five scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education degrees. The scholarship presentations were made at our branches in Carbondale and Metropolis. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship for the 2019-20 school year. The 2019 scholarship winners, along with their institutions and fields of study, are noted below.
Jaelyn Douglas
Jaelyn Douglas of Karnak will graduate from Vienna County High School in 2019. She plans to attend the University of Chicago and study Neuroscience.
Rachel Hartke
Rachel Hartke graduates from Carterville High School in 2019 and plans to attend John A. Logan College where she will start her Bachelors in Nursing.
LaRue Love, Jr.
LaRue Love, Jr., is a 2019 graduate of Carbondale Community High School. He plans to attend Illinois State University and study Exercise Science.
Hannah Colbrook
Hannah Colbrook of Carbondale is a junior at SIU Carbondale. She is pursuing her degree in Public Relations.
Campbell Neely
Campbell Neely is a 2019 graduate of Massac County High School. She plans to attend West Kentucky Community and Technical College to study Elementary Education.
