Financial Resources

Membership Has Its Rewards

Loyalty has its privileges, and we believe in rewarding our loyal members.

Just for being a SIU Credit Union member, you’re part of our Power Points Rewards program. You earn and accumulate points on all qualifying debit card purchases, adding new services like our Visa Credit Card, or using our free services such as online banking or bill pay.  Points are easily redeemed for gift cards, certificate premiums or even consumer loan discounts! And Power Points don’t expire, so save them up to get what you really want.

ALWAYS SAY CREDIT! Be sure to sign for debit transactions rather than entering a PIN, since only signature-based transactions earn reward points. If prompted for a PIN, but would rather sign for the purchase, simply ask the cashier to run the transaction as credit.

Power Point Coins

To check your Power Points balance, simply follow these steps:

  1. Login into your online banking account
  2. Under the “Services” menu, select “Power Points Rewards”
  3. Click on your account type
  4. A points summary for your account will come up.  You can review your balance, points earned and redeemed.
  5. You can also use this screen to redeem points for certificate premiums, loan discounts, or gift cards!

Bottom line:

Your relationship with SIU Credit Union is all about membership, service, and loyalty. It’s about belonging to a not-for-profit financial service cooperative, with members helping members. It’s about taking advantage of lower fees and higher dividends. As a member/owner, you enjoy unique benefits not available to customers of other financial institutions.

As our relationship grows, your benefits grow, and so does the credit union.  It’s our way of saying “thank you” for being a loyal member of SIU Credit Union.
