Expanding Convenience: Coin Counting Now Available at All SIU Credit Union Branches

At SIU Credit Union, we are committed to providing our members with the tools and services necessary to manage every aspect of their financial lives—including the smaller details that add up over time.

We are pleased to announce that our professional-grade coin counting machines, previously limited to Carbondale and Marion locations, have now been installed at all six of our current branch locations. Furthermore, we are excited to confirm that our upcoming Marion East branch will also feature this service upon its opening, bringing our total to seven accessible units across the region.

Member-First Benefits

We understand that manual coin rolling is a time-consuming task. Our high-speed counting technology offers a streamlined alternative, allowing you to convert loose change into usable funds in a matter of minutes.

  • Members: As a benefit of your membership, this service is provided entirely free of charge. Simply bring your unsorted coins to any branch, utilize the machine, and present your receipt to a teller for an immediate deposit or cash exchange.

  • Non-Members: We also welcome members of the community who do not currently bank with us to utilize this service for a competitive 8% service fee.

To ensure the most efficient experience for all users, please verify that your coins are free of non-monetary items such as debris, paper clips, or adhesive materials before use. Coin that has been submerged in water cannot be accepted, as it will break the machine.
