What Makes SIUCU Different?
Glad you asked! We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative without a paid board of directors. This means we can help our members instead by providing more services, fewer fees, and better rates. While banks are trying to maximize profits to pay their board, our earnings are returned to the membership in the form of additional services and better rates.
Can I Become a Member?
Membership is open to any of the following individuals:
Anyone who lives or works in one of our 24 counties
Our Counties
Immediate family members of existing members
Family Members
Anyone who works for one of our member companies (SEGs)
Our Employers
Anyone who belongs to one of our education groups
Our Education Groups
Anyone who belongs to our eligible associations
Our Associations
How Do I Join?
You can join us online or in-person.
And remember— once a member always a member; once you join, you can be a member of SIU Credit Union for life.
