2 Steps to Further Protect Your Account

You don’t have to be a computer wiz to take these precautionary steps to secure your SIU Credit Union account.

 

To further protect yourself from instances such as the fraud prevented today, take these two easy steps:

 

1.) Make sure your photo identification is up to date and in our database.

A fake ID may be relatively easy to make, but if your photo in our system doesn’t match the person trying to withdrawal from your account, it’s a no-go from us. Make sure your information is on file and accurate.

 

2.) Set up an over-the-phone password.

Any time information from SIU Credit Union is given over the phone, an over-the-phone password is required. This keeps fraudsters at bay from knowing your account balances and from making transfers.
